OBITUARY
Bunbury, William M, Age 87, on January 27, 2021, of West Purling, NY formerly of Staten Island, NY. Devoted husband of the late Dorothy. Beloved father of Ellen, James, Robert, Timothy, Thomas, Jamie, Mary, and Matthew. Cherished grandfather of 22 Grandchildren and 15 Great Grandchildren. Loving brother of James and Ellen. William was very proud to have served in the U.S. Marine Corp. Visitation Sunday, 2-4:30 & 7-9:30 pm at the New Hyde Park Funeral Home, 506 Lakeville Road, New Hyde Park, NY. Mass of Christian Burial Monday 11:15 am at Our Lady Star of the Sea Church. Interment Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in William’s name would be appreciated to The Wounded Warrior Project, St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, or Catholic Charities. www.nhpfh.com

You truly were my fathers best friend! I'm sure Nicky was there at the gates of heaven waiting for you, reunited once again, friendships like the 2 of you had are few and far between, may you rest in peace Billy, you will always hold a special place in my heart, you will never be forgotten!!!
