OBITUARY

William (Bill) J. Fahey, Sr. passed away on May 19, 2026 at age 92, leaving behind a legacy of deep family devotion, warmth, and kindness. He is now reunited with his beloved wife, Catherine, who predeceased him in 2005.

Bill was the loving father of Debbie Bieling, Annmarie DeRosa, and Dr. William Fahey. He was a second dad to Donna Scordianos, Margaret Apgar, Tina Oggeri, Tommy Fahey, Jr. (deceased), and Danny S.

He was a proud "Poppy" to Anthony Demato, Kristen and Matthew Koirtyohann, Nicholas and Tianjiao Demato, as well as a caring "great-grandpapi" to Theo Demato. His gentle spirit extended to his animal companions; he was a doting pet-dad to Katie, and the late Monty and Pepper.

Born into a large, loving family, Bill is survived by his dear brothers, Thomas, James, and sister-in law Peggy. He was predeceased by his siblings Patrick, Joseph, Suzanne Beatty, and Francis. His presence will be profoundly missed by all who knew him.

He made me smile. I was very happy to see him when he came with Grandpa Fahey to visit me in the hospital on many occasions. He was very kind and joyful.

The first thing I think of when I think of Uncle Billy is how he loved to make people laugh, and he never failed at it either. That's the beauty of the Fahey men. Even in the hardest of times they never fail to make you smile. We love and will miss you Uncle Billy.
