I was so very sorry to see this just now. Walter was a great guy. My dad told me stories about the things that would go on at work and Walter figured prominently in a lot of them. I was honored to have Walter come to my fathers wake when he passed. Deepest condolences.

I just heard the sad news of Walter's passing. My sincerest condolences to Tina, Ellen, Bob and families. He lit up the beach with his one liners and ready laughter! What a great guy! I will never forget him removing a kids splinter with his teeth! What a nut! A true loss to all who knew and enjoyed him. Keeping you all in my prayers Pat Alonge

So sad to see this. The world will miss the one-liners and zingers that would come from Walter. When asked what he was doing when we saw him on Covert Avenue on a Saturday morning, he responded, "Just slumming." He once offered to take the first-graders for beers if they won the soccer game. Walter, who was about 10 years older than I, once introduced me to a friend of his as "the woman who used to walk me in my baby carriage."

Deepest sympathy to Tina and all the family. He will be missed. And Saint Anne's will need a new head of crowd control.

Rest in peace. Working with you in Con Ed Brooklyn Overhead in the late 60's was fun. A great guy! Semper Fi .
