1961 - 2024

Ted entered into eternal rest on Monday, March 11th.  He was 62 years old. Ted was born on May 17th, 1961 in Queens, NY to Thedore and Marjorie Fisher.  Ted was a dedicated family man who enjoyed spending time with his loving wife of 40 years, Laura, his children Jessica (Michael) and Andrew, his grandchildren, Penelope and Wyatt.  He looked forward to his monthly family gathering which included his father, Ted Fisher, his siblings, brother Jeffery (Christine), and sister Marjorie (Walter), and his niece, Kelly and nephew Declan (Ronnie).  Ted also leaves behind his beloved sister-in laws, Marie (Joe), Patty, and Pat, as well as his adored nieces, Karen (Eddie), Linda (William), Susan (Joseph), Debra, (Michael), Elizabeth and nephews Adam (Brittany) and Stefan as well as his numerous great nieces and nephews.  He was a 20 year veteran of the NYPD, where he earned the rank of sergeant.  Ted served with much pride and distinction on the German Steuben Board. Upon retiring from the NYPD, he worked at Provident Loan Society for over 20 years, where he earned his bachelor degree from St. Joseph’s College, and worked his way within the company to become Vice President.  Ted loved serving his community, and became an usher at his family’s church at St. Jacobis in Woodside, where his family has been members for over 100 years. Although Ted is no longer with us in bodily form, his presence is forever ingrained in the people he loved and inspired.  It is only fitting that we end this short tribute to Ted with words spoken by one of his favorite people, actor John Wayne, “When the road looks rough ahead, remember the Man Upstairs and the word Hope”.
