OBITUARY

Teresa was born to Michael and Nora Naughton on September 20, 1941 in Ardnaglug, County Roscommon, Ireland. She grew up as one of ten children on the family farm. Teresa immigrated to the Bronx in the early 1960s where she met her husband, Patrick Gallagher. Together, they raised their family of four children in Elmont.

Teresa excelled in her 20+ year career with A. Holly Patterson Nursing Home and enjoyed actively participating at the Irish-American Society in Mineola, though her passion was always her family.

First to remember every birthday or anniversary, Teresa had a way of making everyone feel special. She cherished her time with family and friends and delighted in chatting over a cup of tea. In retirement, Teresa’s greatest joy was helping to care for her grandchildren.

Teresa is survived by her husband Patrick Gallagher; children Patrick (Christine), Michael (Eileen), Una (Tom), and John; grandchildren Michael, Peter, Julia, Kieran, and Olivia; and siblings Liam, Tom, Margaret, Agnes, and John. We remember Teresa as a devoted wife, loving mother, adoring grandmother, treasured sister, caring aunt, and loyal friend.
