OBITUARY
Stanley A. Ruchalski, a New Hyde Park resident for more than 50 years, passed away on July 12, 2021 at the grand old age of 94. He was the youngest son born to the late Frank and Kamila Ruchalski, on July 2, 1927, in Maspeth, New York, where he was also raised. Stanley was a proud World War II veteran, serving in the United States Navy. After the war, he continued to serve his community as a New York City Police Officer for more than 20 years. He was very proud of his Polish heritage and loved sports, especially horse racing. He is predeceased by his 2 brothers, John and Joseph Ruchalski, and is survived by his sister-in-law, Eleanor Ruchalski. He is the loving uncle of John J. Ruchalski (deceased), Susan Ruchalski Wesoly (Paul) of New Hyde Park, NY., Francis Ruchalski (Carol) of Rockville Centre, NY., and Joseph Ruchalski (Linda) of Trumbull, CT. He is also the cherished grand uncle of Paul, Craig, Taryn, and Mariel Wesoly; Ashley, Lyndsey, John, and Mary Ruchalski; and Emily, Daniel and Amanda Ruchalski. Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 14, 2021 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, July 15, 2021 at St. Hedwig's Church, 1 Depan Ave., Floral Park, NY. Interment will be held at Calvary Cemetery, 49-02 Laurel Hill Blvd.,Woodside, NY. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Stanley's name to The Mary Ruchalski Foundation, at www.themaryruchalskifoundation.org.
