OBITUARY

Sidney Schwartz (July 27, 1945 – June 3, 2025) passed away beside his wife of 47 years on June 3, 2025. He was the beloved husband of Victoria, beloved brother of Arthur and brother-in-law of Maryann and Richard, devoted father of Melissa and Jennifer and father-in-law of Rick, and adoring grandfather of Ava and Eli. He was also a cherished uncle, grand-uncle, cousin, neighbor, and friend.

Sidney served his country in the U.S. Army for 30 years. He loved his family, his friends, a good adventure on a long road trip, Golden Oldies music, awkward dance moves, a tasty pina colada, and family vacations to Disney. His generosity, his steadfast dependability, his unconditional love, and his unparalleled sense of humor will be dearly missed. We love you dad. May the Schwartz Be With You.

I met Sid through Rich, when he would venture upstate to visit, and where we would all get together to play handball and have a beer. I recall he had a great underhand kill shot, along with a mildly acerbic wit, and that he was one of the most generous persons I've ever met. Our heartfelt sympathy to the Schwartz Family.

We are heartbroken by the passing of dear cousin Sidney, a man of quiet strength, steadfast devotion, and dry wit. His bond with his brother Arthur and son-in-law Rick only added to the tapestry of a life lived with integrity and heart. Sidney made family his world—every year, without fail, he took them to Disney, where we were fortunate to share many joyful memories with him and the family. Whether visiting us across different states or welcoming loved ones in his home,…
