OBITUARY
Rosina Capilupi Rubino (1927 - 2023)
Rosina (96) was a devoted & loving wife to Vincent, mother to Josephine (Kevin), Ralph (Helen), Jennifer (Steven) and proudly presided over eight grandchildren (Meghan, Christopher, Vincent, George, Terrance, Kaitlin, Rosina and Alexander), two great granddaughters (Riley and Ava).
She was also a loving aunt to numerous nieces, nephews and their families in both America and Italy.
Born and raised in Pentone, Italy to Genoveffa (Capicotto) and Vincenzo Capilupi, she spent her youth in the hills of southern Italy with siblings Maria, Vitaliano, Filippo, Corrado, Giuseppe and Francesco.
She married in 1952 and created a new life in both Brooklyn and Queens, NY where she raised her family and saw each of her children and grandchildren rise to the success of the American dream every immigrant imagines.
Rosina had an unending love for not just her family but for anyone who crossed her path that needed a helping hand. Her enduring vitality came from time spent in her kitchen and tending to her garden, where she could display the generosity in her heart with an open invitation to come and sit at her table.
We thank you Rosina, as a wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend for all of the happiness, caring, hard work, support and memories you have blessed us with.
Rosina entered eternal rest surrounded by her children. We are assured she has her place in heaven and she will continue to live as an angel for so many.

It was a great blessing to know Rosina. Her love for people was infectious and one of the wonderful ways she loved her family and friends was with her incredible cooking which she did till near the end of her life. Her precious smile and "How's the family?" she always greated you with will be remembered always. It is a great joy to know that because of her trusting Christ as her Savior we will be reunited with her in eternity but for now she will be greatly missed. A precious great lady! Zia Rosina...a woman with a small stature, but with the grandest of hearts. She will be missed beyond what words will ever be able to express. I will certainly miss our coffee talks, the sound advice and support she endlessly offered, alongside her biscotti, and the nostalgic stories of our family.
To my dear cousins, Jenn, Ralph & Jo and your families, you have my sincerest condolences and lifelong support. I love you all. Mom has simply left the physical world, but her love and legacy remains through all of you. Live it well.

Rosina was a wonderful warm hearted woman. Ever since we were children, she always made us feel like a part of the family with her famous biscotti cookies. She will be sorely missed sending thoughts and prayers.
