OBITUARY

Rose Lucille Casatuta (94) passed away Saturday May 6th at LIJ hospital in New Hyde Park, NY. She was born in Brooklyn and attended FIT (Fashion Institute of Technology) in Manhattan. Upon completion, she worked as a pattern maker for Butterick Corp. She was married to her loving husband, Robert C. Casatuta for 55 years, who pre-deceased her. She left the workforce to raise her 3 children, Karen, Robert and Kenneth. When her youngest, Kenneth, was in high school, she returned to the workforce, as an assistant buyer in Purchasing for the defense contractor Sperry Unysis in New Hyde Park. She loved spending many a summer weekend, with her family on the beaches of Long Island. She also loved to travel and her and her husband visited many sites all over this country and parts of Europe. In her retirement years, she spent most winters on the sunny shores of Florida. She will be greatly missed by her children, their spouses, Dan, Fay and Tara and her grandchildren and great grandchild, Courtney, Danielle, Cathryn, Matthew, Brianna and Kevin.
