OBITUARY
Dreasen Rev. Msgr. John on Tuesday December 28th, 2021. Ordained a priest of the Diocese of Rockville Centre on September 8, 1979. Named a Prelate of Honor (Monsignor) by Pope John Paul II on August 1, 1996. He served as an Associate Pastor at St. Bernard’s Levittown and later at St. Mary’s Roslyn. He was Pastor of St. Boniface, Elmont from 1991 until 2002. From 2002 until 2014 he served as Pastor of St. Anthony of Padua, East Northport. Msgr. Dreasen was in residence at the Church of the Holy Spirit, New Hyde Park, where he continued to serve in retirement. Wake Tuesday January 4, 2022 from 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM at Holy Spirit Church. Vigil Mass Tuesday January 4, 2022 at 7:30 PM Holy Spirit Church. Funeral Mass Wednesday January 5, 2022 at 11:00 AM Holy Spirit Church. Interment to follow at Holy Rood Cemetery. Our fond memories of you as Moderator of St Bernards In-home Pre- Cana and the beautiful spiritually you passed along to so many of these engaged couples was truly inspiring.
