OBITUARY

Priscilla “Precy” Bulos Mendoza, 83, of Holliswood, NY passed away on February 22, 2025 at Long Island Jewish Hospital Queens NY.

Precy is survived by her husband of 56 years, Larry Mendoza, her daughter Mellissa and husband Stephan, daughter Michelle and husband Edward, daughter Marsha and husband Martin, and son Larry Nino and his wife Honey Rose, and her 9 grandchildren: Alex, Lucy, Ryan, Maxine, Evan, Ariah, Austin, Alessandra, and Ares.

She was from Tarlac, Philippines. While she has lived in New York since 1965, she always loved going back “home” to visit her family and friends and enjoy her country.

Precy along with Larry, owned and operated a successful travel agency, along with other businesses. She enjoyed traveling and took the opportunity to visit many countries.  She enjoyed meeting people and always made others feel welcomed and included. She was a strong and smart woman who always had a positive outlook. She was funny and lived her life that way. She thrived on movement, whether it was dancing, walking, Zumba, or other exercise, and made a point to live a healthy lifestyle.  Most of all, she lived a life of faith in God and loved the Lord passionately.

Good bye Tita Precy, may you rest now in eternal peace. You were a beautiful and special person. I will always remember your smile. Always welcoming me to your home and accepting me as part of the family from day one. I will never forget all the Christmases at your house with the whole family. Those are memories I will cherish forever.

You raised wonderful children including my breast friend, Mellissa who I love so much. Prayers for her and the whole family for peace and comfort at this time. I love you all. Jeanette, John and family

It's sad that Tita Precy is gone but I know she's with her siblings in heaven (they're all unique characters). I've always admired her strength, frankness, and business acumen. I remember her being warm towards me (and made sure my cousins met up with me when I was in NY years ago). I also have a fond memory of her dancing away at a Manila club when I was much younger (I thought she was a pretty groovy aunt!). My thoughts and prayers are with Tito Larry and my cousins Ate Lisa, Michelle, Marsha, and Nino (I do hope to see you when I get the chance to visit NY, or vice versa).

Dear Tito Larry, Lisa, Michelle, Marsha, and Nino, although I couldn't be with you last Thursday, my thoughts and prayers were with you all then and now. I didn't get to spend a lot of time with Tita Precy, but she's always been kind to me. Even with the sadness of losing her here, we know we can celebrate her new life in eternity.
