I met Pete in 1982 at Ft Dix when I was a young captain and he was a wise old major. Always unflappable, Pete could be depended upon for a rational view of any crisis and a commonsense approach to a solution. I learned a great deal from him and made a life-long friend. We later worked together as civilians, again with Pete being the teacher, although I don't know if he knew it. He was just being Pete. We enjoyed many parties together. I never saw him without a drink in his hand and I never saw him drunk. I will always remember Pete as a gentleman who accomplished amazing things but never seemed stressed or even to b…
I met Pete and many of his friends while working at Fort Dix. I worked with Pete and some wonderful people while working on the Source Selection Board to select a contractor to take over the Base Operations for Fort Hamilton in New York. I worked on the Board for a period of two years. For over 30 years Pete threw a St. Patrick's Day party usually on the Saturday before the holiday. Every year I looked forward to attending these parties and reuniting with Pete and other's I had known at Fort Dix. Pete was one of the most generous and witty people I have ever known. Many times at the end of his parties he would give me…
It is still so very hard to believe that Peter is gone. As so many of his friends and family have said, he was a kind, funny, generous, selfless friend to all. As his younger cousin, I was always in awe of him, as and adult I relied on him for help and advice when I was caring for my father, his Uncle Al, and as a shoulder to cry on when things got really tough. He came to our holidays, wine in hand, and with stories to entertain us. I will never forget his kindnesses. Heaven got a good.
Rest easy, Peter, I will miss you always,
Cousin, Nancy
Pete was a great friend to all. I will always remember all the good times our group had. Rest in peace Pete. Jane Totman
I have known Pete for almost fifty years. He was responsible for mentoring me in my many accomplishments in the military, Veterans Originations and Civil Service. No matter where I was in the world, I could always call upon him for superior guidance and advice.
He was always a true gentleman, sound leader and sincerer friend to all who came in contact with him. Now, heaven needed another angel and called him. I will truly miss him. Rest in peace Brother.
