On behalf of the Department of Dental Medicine at LIJ, we wish to extend our condolences to Mr. McKenna and Pat's family. Pat was a true professional, and a major asset to our Department. Ours is not the typical "dental office". She thrived in this environment, whether she was performing her duties as a dental hygienist, or assisting our residents taking care of profoundly handicapped patients, or working with the specialists in the various Divisions within the Department . She was adept at recognizing the differing and demanding personalities that we threw at her, and she was always a beacon of calm, and a study in professionalism.
