OBITUARY
Patricia Quinn (89) on January 18, 2026 a 65-year resident of New Hyde Park, NY and longtime parishioner of Notre Dame Parish.
Patricia grew up in NYC in the 1930’s – 1940’s with her younger brother Jackie and parents John and Cecelia. She had numerous jobs, working at a bakery, bookkeeping, and later for the U.S. Census. After meeting her husband Patrick on summer vacation in the Catskills in the 1950’s they soon moved to Long Island/New Hyde Park in 1960 to raise five children who were active participants in Notre Dame School and Parish. Patricia was Den mother for Cub Scouts, Religious Awards and Cookie mother for Girl Scouts, ND School lunch mother, CYO volunteer, and member of the ND Rosary Society.
Summers were spent in the Hudson Valley at Twin Lakes where she shared days at the lake and campfires at night with her husband Patrick, brother Jackie and wife Lenore, children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and grandnieces and nephews. Two van loads of kids going to the Sunset Drive-In was always an adventure.
Patricia and Patrick also spent winters traveling up and down the East coast becoming snowbirds in Clearwater, FL. Many fond memories were made on cruises and trips to Walt Disney World.
Slowing down in her last few years she never lost her love for thrifting, couponing, and much enjoyed visits from her loving grandchildren.
Patricia was predeceased by her beloved husband Patrick in 2012, sister-in-law Lenore in 2008, brother Jackie in 2016, and grandson Paul in 2014.
Surviving are her loving children Theresa Nardella and her husband Paul of East Williston, NY, William Quinn and his wife Deborah of Whitehouse Station, NJ, Catherine Bassani and her husband Frank of Stewart Manor, NY, Michael Quinn and Suzanne of Berkeley Heights, NJ, and Maureen Rosen and her husband Scott of Malibu, California. She also leaves behind eleven grandchildren, Terry (Eric), Vicky, Steven, Erin (Tim), Patrick (Tori), Sean, Kelly, Katie, Maddy, Shannon, and Megan, and two great-grandchildren Kennedy and Brie.
