OBITUARY
Mary Elizabeth Molloy Vargas, a lifelong resident of Queens, NY, passed away on April 1, 2023 at the age of 76. Born in 1946 to James and Anne Molloy, Mary was a proud 1968 graduate of Marymount Manhattan College and served as a dedicated elementary school teacher for the New York City Public Schools for over 30 years. She will always be remembered for her devotion to her family and by the many friends made throughout her years in school, as a mom, and as a teacher at P.S. 108 in Queens.
Mary is survived by her loving husband, Richard, to whom she was married for 45 years; her loving children, AnneMarie and her husband, Matthew Olton, Timothy and his wife, Jenna; her cherished grandchildren: Penelope, Peter, John, and Emily; her sister, Patricia, and her nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Contributions can be made to the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in Mary’s honor.
