OBITUARY

Mary Catapano, born Marija Muscat, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of faith, love, kindness, and devotion to family and friends. She was born on November 1, 1935, in Nadur, Gozo, Malta, a place she cherished throughout her life. After immigrating to the United States, she built a life centered on family, faith, and service to others.

Mary was a devoted daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She was known for her warm heart, generous spirit, and willingness to help anyone in need. Whether driving friends to doctor appointments, taking them shopping, or simply offering a listening ear, Mary's kindness touched countless lives. Her home was always open to family and friends, who gathered around her table to enjoy her delicious cooking, laughter, and companionship.

A devout Catholic, Mary was an active member of Notre Dame Catholic Church, where she shared her beautiful singing voice as a member of the choir. Her faith guided her life and inspired her compassion, generosity, and dedication to others.

Mary took great joy in cooking, knitting, crocheting, gardening, and celebrating family traditions, especially during the holidays. She delighted in creating and expanding her cherished miniature Christmas village, a labor of love that brought joy to both young and old. She remained deeply proud of her Maltese heritage and especially treasured her visits home to Nadur, where family memories, traditions, and the beauty of her homeland continued to inspire her throughout her life.

Mary was predeceased by her beloved brothers, Rev. John Muscat and Joseph Muscat, with whom she shared a lifelong bond of love, faith, and unwavering support. Their close relationship was a source of strength and comfort throughout their lives.

Mary is survived by her five children, Angelo (Jeanne), Joseph (Judy), Rosemarie (Norman), Joanne (John), and John; her ten grandchildren, Kristen (Greg), Lauren (Eric), Megan, Brianna (Jarek), Caroline (Tyler), Timothy, Michael, Caitlyn (Michael), Johnny, and Jeremy; and her five great-grandchildren, Emily, Katherine, William, Aden, and Jack.

She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, church community, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her legacy of faith, compassion, generosity, and unwavering love for her family will continue to live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
