OBITUARY
Marianne Hallahan, 80, of Delray Beach, Florida, passed away on August 6, 2026. Born on May 31, 1946, in New York, Marianne was the daughter of the late Andrew and Lee Palazzolo. She grew up with a spirit that was larger than life, a heart the size of a beach ball, and a fierce devotion to the people she loved.
Marianne was, above all, a champion of the underdog. If someone was struggling, she was the first one there with a listening ear, honest advice, and whatever help she could offer. Her list of good deeds to others was truly endless, and she never expected anything in return. She had a special tenderness for animals, particularly cats and dogs, and generously donated to numerous animal charities throughout her life.
After years of hard work, Marianne embraced retirement in Delray Beach with the kind of enthusiasm that defined everything she did. Her days were spent at the pool, playing cards with neighbors, and hosting a revolving door of family and friends who came to visit. She was a wonderful hostess who made everyone feel welcome and at home. And then there was Lucky, her beloved cat, who held a very special place in her heart. Anyone who knew Marianne knew just how much she loved that cat.
Marianne also shared a remarkable bond with her godson, Patrick Tristram, whom she lovingly referred to as her son from a different mother. That relationship was a source of tremendous joy and pride for her.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Hallahan; her parents, Andrew and Lee Palazzolo; her brother, Joseph Palazzolo; her sister, Andrea Palazzolo; and her nephew, Andrew Block. She is survived by her nephews, Andrew, Joey, and Christopher Palazzolo, and her nieces, Samantha Palazzolo and Katey Block, all of whom she loved dearly.
Marianne was fearless in life and steadfast in her faith. May she now rest peacefully in the arms of the Lord she trusted.
Funeral services will be held at New Hyde Park Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations to an animal rescue charity of your choice would be a fitting tribute to a woman who never stopped caring for those who could not speak for themselves.

RIP Aunt Mari. You were certainly one of a kind. Loved and endeared by many. So sorry we lost contact after uncle Jimmy passed. To the endless line dancing In heaven!! Get my mom and dad out there with you!

To the only family member that ever made me feel sincerely loved, supported, and cared about since my Grandma passed in the early 90's, no words could ever express how special you were and still are to me. It’s so hard to believe your gone. I can’t wrap my mind around it. You don’t know how many times I’ve grabbed my phone to send you a text. I miss you already but know you are in a better place where pain doesn’t exist. You were one of a kind! I’m thankful for the memories and laughter we shared and will think of you often.
