OBITUARY
Kasimir Joseph Turon, Born on September 18, 1933 in New York City, he was the son of the late Joseph and Josephine Turon. He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Elizabeth, son Edward, sister Genevieve Matusik, brother in-law John Matusik, and son in-law Curtis Anderson.
He was baptized at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in New York City. Kasimir spent his childhood in Lutcza, Poland. After graduating from Stuyvesant HS in New York City, he served in the US Air Force for 8 years, active duty and reserves. He trained at Elmendorf AFB Explosive Ordnance School. He later attended Embry-Riddle to earn Airframe and Powerplant Certification and his pilot license.
He worked for Pan American Airlines at John F. Kennedy (JFK), then Delta Airlines at Hartsfield-Jackson (ATL) until retirement.
He is survived by daughter, Barbara Anderson; son, Robert (Christina) Turon; daughter in-law, Diane Turon; and grandchildren: Kristine (James) Lyon, Katie (Greg) Peacock, Mary (James) Chambers, and Michael (Anna) Anderson; Emily, Hayley, and Stephanie Turon; Stanislaw, Andrzej, Stefan, and Christopher Turon. He was blessed with five great-grandchildren who brought him immense joy in his final months of life: Aubrey Lyon, Monica and Jacob Peacock, and Joseph and Matthew Chambers.
