Please forgive the lateness of this note. I just found out through New York friends. Karl was a friend of a very long time ago. He was such kind, funny and warm man. He also spoke lovingly of his daughters who were then, just a little younger than our son. Please know that you are in our thoughts and in our hearts.
Barbara, I'm so very sorry for your loss. May all your memories help comfort.
Karl was a great supporter of the Gladiator Fund for 20 years at the NHP Inn , thank you Karl for your friendship & generosity
I was lucky enough to grow up with Suzi. I have a memory of skiing through glades with him yodeling and putting hats and gloves in the front of his bibs as he got too warm. This may not have happened, but it the zest of life that I remember about him, and I think that anyone that knows him suspects it is an accurate memory. Peace and love and condolences to your family
Dear Barbara,
it has been many years since I saw Karl during his last stay here. He always wanted to come to Germany again, but unfortunately he was not able to do it for many reasons. I will fondly remember our phone conversations. We started our conversation in English at first. Whenever I was missing the right words, he simply changed the language and we continued talking in German. I had great respect that he could still speak German so well. The Schust family and Elfriede Pfeiffer wish you Barbara and the complete Rí¼ck family a lot of strength during these difficult days.
