OBITUARY
Juana C. Prepetit, lovingly known as “Jenny,” 77, passed away on November 23, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. She was a proud resident of Queens, New York, and the heart of her family for decades. Born in the heart of Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, Jenny carried her roots with strength and grace throughout her life. She was also a woman of profound faith, and that faith guided her through every season of her life. Jenny was tough in all the ways that mattered. She endured life’s challenges with determination, and she faced her health battles in recent years with a courageous fight that beat every medical expectation. Her giving spirit defined her. If someone was in need, she would give her last without hesitation. She is survived by her son, Pierre Prepetit Jr., and his wife, Katarina Prepetit; her son, Joham Prepetit; and she was a devoted grandmother to Alani and Eliana Prepetit. Her love for her family was constant and unwavering. One of Jenny’s greatest passions was dancing. No matter the setting, if there was music and a dancefloor, she brought life to the room. She didn’t just dance. She lit up every space she stepped into. A wake will be held on Friday, December 12, from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and 7:00 to 9:00 pm at New Hyde Park Funeral Home, 506 Lakeville Road, New Hyde Park, NY 11040. A final prayer service will take place at 10 am on Saturday, December 13, at New Hyde Park Funeral Home before Jenny is laid to rest at St. Charles Cemetery, 2015 Wellwood Avenue, Farmingdale, NY 11735. Jenny leaves behind a legacy of strength, generosity, faith, and joy. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her love will continue to live on through her family and everyone who was touched by her life.

Pierre, I never met your mother but her love and commitment to your family shows in the man you are. My sincere apologies for your loss. May she forever rest in peace with the Holy Father.
Jenny's strength and love for you will forever be part of who you are. It will continue to guide and sustain you through life's challenges.
Pierre we are so sorry for your loss. May Jenny rest peacefully and you take comfort that the love you surrounded her with, accompanies her eternally.
Our condolences to Katarina, our granddaughters and your family as well. Sending you all strength and love through this difficult time.
Ma, you were such a sweet soul. Your sons became my brothers. Your home was always open to us even when you told us to quiet down and you were always giving us food even though we were stuffed. You were caring, loving and always had a smile on your face. My thoughts and prayers are with the family. Love you always, Ma.
