Josephine Quinn, 96, of New Hyde Park passed away peacefully in her sleep Sunday, April 23, Josephine was the tenacious matriarch of a very large family that will miss her very much. Known for her love of storytelling, piano, and all types of music, she brought joy to all who knew her. Josephine's family ask that she be remembered for this joy, and not the sadness of her passing.
Josephine is survived by her five children Joanne Flood, Denis (Pamela) Quinn, Donna Quinn, Denise Olsen, and Donald (Jennifer) Quinn. She is also survived by her thirteen grandchildren Matthew Flood, Kellie (Todd) Hill, Denis Quinn, Donald (Maritza) Quinn, Michael Quinn, Kimberly Quinn, Peter Bertuccio, Ashley (Brendan) Parla, Diana (Matthew) Mione, Cody (Carli) Quinn, Kevin Quinn, Kyle Quinn, and Kenny Quinn . She is also survived by her 10 great-grandchildren Matthew Flood, Jenna Flood, Makayla Quinn, Suzie Quinn, Isaac Quinn, Layla Jo Parla, Leo Mione, Mila Jo Mione, Cooper Quinn, and Colton Quinn and her cousin Kembell (George) Huyke.
She is pre-deceased by her loving husband Donald Quinn, mother Aurea Matre, father Joseph Matre, father-in-law Denis Quinn, brother-in-law Robert Quinn, mother-in-law Madeline Quinn, son-in-law Kevin Flood, daughter-in-law Louise Quinn, and son-in-law Donald Olsen.

God knows how much I love and miss you Mom. I pray you rest in peace. You will always be in my heart, I will love you forever.
So sorry for your family's loss. I have so many fond memories of Mom and will never forget her. Even my family who never met her knows of her because of the childhood stories that I have shared.
