OBITUARY
Joseph Elefante, age 94 passed away on May 14, 2022. He was surrounded by his loving family.Joe was born and raised in NYC in a three-room apartment. He shared one bedroom with six other brothers and sisters. At 23 he proudly enlisted in the US Army and was stationed in Iceland during the Korean War. When he returned home, he began his career as a draftsman and eventually ran his own Sheet Metal shop until he retired. He was married to his wife Annette, who predeceased him after 38 years of marriage. Joe is survived by his daughters Lynn Thompson (Russell) and Lisa Steinhilber. He was loved by his five grandchildren, Jonathan, Christopher, Alex, Kimberly and Jessica. When Joe wasn’t watching the New York Yankees on TV, he liked to play golf and bowl. He was an Exalted Ruler and active member of the NHP Elks Lodge #2107 for 64 years. He loved spending his time at the lodge telling stories and reminiscing to both his old friends and new. Joe will be greatly missed.
