Joseph J. Rotondaro, 83, fondly known as” Junior”, passed away peacefully on January 14, 2023, surrounded by his family. Joe is survived by his wife, Connie, of 54 years, and his 3 children, Annmarie (Al), Helene, and Joseph (Danielle). Joe was also adored by his 4 grandchildren – Nicole, Matthew, Joseph and Luca and let’s not forget the grand dogs – Dexter, Baxter and Lola. He was also loved by his many nieces and nephews as well as his brother and sister in-laws. He grew up in a loving family in Corona, Queens with his parents Joe and Anna and his 5 siblings. Joe is predeceased by his parents Anna and Joseph, and his loving sisters and brothers – Lucille (Anton), Anthony, George, Marie (Michael), and Frances (Robert). He was happiest when surrounded by his devoted family and was respected by all. The Mayor of the block, he held many titles during his 83 years – son, brother, cousin, soldier, husband, father, grandfather, uncle, great uncle, veteran, neighbor and friend. Aside for the love he had for his family and friends, he was a member of VFW Post 120 and an Honorary Member of the Knights of Columbus – starting as a squire at the age of 13. He always talked about how proud he was of his family and his service to his country in the U.S. Army. He was known for his drawings that he shared with his family and if anyone in the family had a problem he got the call. He was Mr. Fix it. He will be greatly missed.

Sending our sympathy to you and your family. I grew up with Joe in Corona and we played baseball together. Also joined the KofC Squires together. So sorry my wife and I can't attend his funeral.
