1957 - 2021

OBITUARY

Joseph Aragona known as ‘Joey’ to many left this world suddenly on May 23rd, 2021 at age 63. While he had many titles throughout his lifetime, a ‘larger than life man’ summed it up best.

He was the first born to ‘Joe’ and ‘Mary’ (Maria) Aragona on September 4th, 1957 to be followed by his brother ‘Nicky’ and sister ‘Nancy’. Joey married his childhood sweetheart ‘Cindy’ and together they brought two amazing individuals into the world, a son ‘Joseph’ and a daughter ‘Jeanny’.

As life continued to unfold so did his family grow. His children ‘Joseph’ and ‘Mallory’ blessed him with a beautiful granddaughter ‘Brielle’ and ‘Jeanny’ and ‘Andrew’ with a grandfurbaby ‘Liyah’ to both he was known as ‘Poppy’.

His sister ‘Nancy’ made him an uncle with two amazing daughters ‘Alex’ and ‘Aliza’. Fast forward a few decades and ‘Aliza’ made him a great-uncle with the birth of her daughter ‘Cali’. And ‘Alex’ who is ready to bring ‘Luca’ into this world at any moment.

He was loved by so many, his other Mom ‘Jeanny’, his other brother ‘Rick’ and endless friends, family, co-workers and even the ‘Barista’ at Starbucks.

As he steered his way through life, just as he operated a piece of heavy equipment more loved ones entered ‘Lisa’ and her children ‘Isabella’ and ‘Ryan’.

Joey was the guy you met, whether it be for work or any reason at all and you liked him. Something about that smile and his laugh made that instantly possible.

While all of our hearts are broken, we know that he was met by those who have passed before him. He is in heaven now on his excavator trying to figure out how he can change its terrain……….

It’s not goodbye just till we meet again.
