OBITUARY
John Iverson (64) of New Hyde Park passed peacefully on February 8th, 2023, after a prolonged illness surrounded by family. John, born to William and Anna Iverson on November 3, 1958, was a devoted father, loving brother, cherished uncle, and beloved friend to many. John is survived by his daughter Samantha Kovener (Michael); grandchildren Kaylee (7), Savannah (1) and Jeffrey (1), siblings Kathleen, Martin, Eileen and Anne; and sister-in-law Muriel. John was pre-deceased by his wife Catherine; sons Jason and Jeffrey, and parents William and Anna.
Inurnment of John’s ashes and Celebration of Life will be on Saturday, May 20th, 2023, at Calvary Cemetery. More information to follow.

Uncle John, From Queens Village to New Hyde Park. Both houses had a blast. Remembering you teaching me Darts, Bowling, Driving. The Backyard parties. Making the best egg sandwiches. Renting Movies at night. Ollie the dog. Working at Iver Printing for two years and living with you. 1997. Great Memories. You were the best Uncle. Till we meet again.
John you were such a close friend and I'm so glad our daughters are best friends they will always be there for each other. You were the man who had everyone in stitches at a party. I miss our time together me, you, Cathy, and Jack. Such great memories. Love you always. Till we meet again.
John,you were such a special cousin We grew up together.Loved our holidays and that ski trip we went on.So many memories that I am so grateful for.T

Uncle John always had the best sense of humor, with his deadpan delivery he would always get a belly laugh out of me. He had a huge heart, and cared deeply about his family. He will truly be missed, and family Christmases simply won't be the same. <3 Love you, Uncle John
John was a wonderful man as well as dear dad to my daughter in law Samantha and his siblings and will always been fondly remembered and will be in our hearts forever and will surely be missed rest in peace amen
