I have very fond memories of Joan Borger all through our high school years. We and some other girls met on the J el train getting on at different stations and rode from Queens to Brooklyn to get to school. The ride took about an hour. Many years later after marriages and raising children, the same group started meeting every 2 months or so for Sunday brunch. That is where I got to know Joan Rooney. She loved to talk about her children and grandchildren. She was so proud of you all. Of course we also knew Ed her wonderful husband. My sincere condolences to all the family. Joan was a great friend and a true warrior in life.
My condolences to the family. Sending love and peace.
A wonderful lady who was always so kind to the children at Notre Dame School. May she rest in peace. My deepest sympathies to her family.
A lovely lady who was always kind to me and my children. May she rest in peace and enjoy her eternal reward for helping others along her path in life. May the Road Rise to Meet Her and May God hold Her in the Palm of His Hand.
I'm so grateful to have known such a kind and loving woman. She pulled me in and let me call her Mommy right from the start. She's always followed my health and asked Joe I was doing. I'm going to miss her and all the sweet snap chats. All my love to you and your family Patti.
