1947 - 2023

OBITUARY

Isabella VitaMarie Guerra-McLean was born on June 3rd 1947, to the late Pasquale and Concetta Guerra in Queens, NY. Isabella departed her earthly life on Sunday, November 12th, 2023 surrounded by the love of her family.

Isabella's formative years unfolded in Maspeth, Queens, NY, where she cultivated enduring friendships that transcended generations, weaving through the lives of her parents, children, and grandchildren. Isabella devoted numerous years to Maspeth Federal Bank, serving as a teller until her well-deserved retirement. The multitude of marketing trinkets and gadgets she generously shared or brought home stand as tangible reminders of her time there, now cherished memories that linger in our hearts.

In union with James Daniel McLean, Isabella embraced the role of a proud mother, nurturing two beloved children, Colleen Veronica Clagnaz and Patrick Daniel McLean. Through life's twists and turns, her unwavering commitment to family prevailed. Isabella's indomitable spirit crafted a nurturing haven for her children in the heart of Queens. She is preceded in death by her younger brother, Joseph Anthony Guerra. May her legacy of love and resilience serve as a comforting beacon during this challenging time.

Isabella found joy in life's simple pleasures, with her cherished dog, Angel, as her constant companion. Their bond was evident in her care and devotion. Although Isabella felt a deep loss when Angel departed, they are now reunited, free to frolic together with her dearly departed family.

Known for her impeccable sense of style, Isabella was a fashion-forward individual who made a statement with her ever-changing hairstyles and colors. Her flair for the fashionable was a reflection of her vibrant personality, leaving a lasting impression on those fortunate enough to know her.

Isabella transcended the roles of mother and grandmother; she was a woman of robust convictions, speaking with unfiltered candor. Her humor and strong, opinionated yet loving nature endeared her to all who were privileged to know her. Isabella's vibrant and fun personality leaves an enduring impression on the hearts of those touched by her presence.

A gifted storyteller and entertainer, Isabella captivated friends and family with her tales and love of karaoke. The memories of her laughter and song will forever echo in the hearts of those who had the privilege of sharing precious moments with her.

Isabella leaves to mourn her children, son Patrick McLean, daughter Colleen Clagnaz, son-in-law Nick Clagnaz, and daughter-in-law Brandi Lilly McLean. Her grandchildren include Cuba McLean, India McLean, and Morocco McLean from her son, as well as Nathaniel Clagnaz and Mitchell Clagnaz from her daughter. Among those mourning her passing are many lifelong friends and extended family members.

As we bid farewell to Isabella, let us celebrate the legacy of a woman who embraced life with style, passion, and an indomitable spirit. May her memory be a source of comfort and inspiration to all who mourn her passing.

My condolences to the family. May the memories you have bring you strength and comfort in the days ahead of you.

I didn't know Isabella but I know she raised a smart and loving son who married my beautiful cousin.

With love and care rest well Isabelle.

It's been a long ride for us , 72 years! Our children and their children will carry on the deep friendship as our parents did before us. Along the way we've had our, lumps, bumps and tons of laughs - A bond that was unbearable.
