In Loving Memory of Irene Calamia (née Cassar)

Irene Calamia will be remembered for her warmth, generosity, and the deep love she gave to her family and friends. Always ready to listen, offer a helping hand, or share a kind word, her thoughtfulness left a lasting mark on everyone who knew her.

She is lovingly survived by her devoted husband, James Calamia; her daughters, Laura Alto-Kurtz, her husband Paul, and their children, Paul and Juliet; and Christine Alto and her partner, Christian; along with her siblings, extended family, and many dear friends.

Irene has now reunited in heaven with her beloved parents, Michael and Josephine Cassar, her sister Margarite, and all her cherished loved ones who went before her. Though she will be deeply missed, her beautiful spirit will continue to shine through her family and all who were touched by her kindness.

In lieu of flowers, donations to a charity of your choice would be a meaningful way to honor Irene’s generous heart and carry forward her legacy.

Dear Irene, I shall remember you forever; the laughs, the talks and the friendship that came so easy. Our last conversation was months ago. I woke up the other day with you heavy on my mind. Your presence was so strong that I was planning to call you, when the phone rang. It registered "Irene"...but it wasn't you it was Jim....and then I knew. You weren't suppose to go so soon Irene; to suffer so much. But you did deserve the wonderful life you had with a wonderful family, a loving husband and obviously many friends who were lucky enough to know you. Until we meet again "on the other side".
