OBITUARY
Georgiana Fitzpatrick was born at home in Queens to Theresa & George Dour. She had an older sister Teresa Clancy. She married in 1958 to Police Officer Joseph Coote and they had two children Elizabeth and Joseph. Joseph was killed in the line of duty in 1961 a month before his son Joseph was born. She was a strong, loving, spiritual single mom for 10 years before marrying her second husband Kieran Fitzpatrick, joining the large Fitzpatrick family who embraced her and her children. She became stepmother to Thomas, Peggy, and John Fitzpatrick. Mother-in-law to Ed Fronckwicz and Catherine Coote.
Georgie was a generous person she gave of her time treasure and talent. She was active in the church and taught Religious Education for 30 years. She watched the Mass and Rosary at least once a day and had a book of prayers she recited daily. She enjoyed her family and friends especially her grandchildren Kathy, Erin, Jennifer, Sarah, Ryan, Carolyn, Eddie, Christina and 6 great grandchildren Tommy, Samantha, Ethan, Emma, James and Wyatt to which she was ‘Triple G’ Great Grandma Georgie.
She was a creative person making crafts, ornaments, and crocheting till the end of her life. Every Christmas she enjoyed baking many types of cookies, in later years the grand children came and made them with her. She was a good wife, sister, mother, grandmother and friend who still worried about us all even though we were grown up and married. I know she will continue to watch over us from above. A mother’s love never ends. Thank God for giving us Georgie and letting her be a special part of our lives. We are better people because she was. Rest in Peace, Love always.
