OBITUARY
After a two-year battle with Medullary Thyroid cancer, Eva Morales, 69, of New Hyde Park passed away on 10/27/22. Eva grew up in Lower East Side and after graduating from high school, she met her husband Bill on a blind date. She later went home and described him as a cross between Burt Reynolds and Paul Newman to her sister, Esther. Though he looked like neither, he was handsome, nonetheless. Eva and Bill went on to marry after that blind date and welcomed their son Bill and daughters, Josie, and Melissa. After working several years alongside her husband, Eva decided to pursue her lifelong passion of teaching. Eva believed that education was the answer to a better life. She always wanted to travel the world and she did! She shared her passion of travel with her students and took them to Europe for many years. Aside from her love of teaching Eva was an avid reader and dog lover. She enjoyed spending time with her three beautiful granddaughters, Aria, Luna, and Serena. As well her great nephew, Julian.
Eva was a loving grandmother or as her granddaughters affectionately called her, Abby. Eva was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, daughter, aunt, friend, and teacher. We will all miss her greatly.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers a donation be made to the THYCA Foundation. A memorial service will be held on 11/5/22 at the New Hyde Park Funeral Home from 2pm-4pm & 7pm-9pm.

Ella fue para mi como otra hermana mas! Una persona con un corazón muy grande y lleno de mucho amor. Ella fue alguien de admirar por su gran espíritu de amor por su familia, sus amistades y sus estudiantes en su bella labor como educadora.
