My mom, my friend, and a Grandma to my kids we will always remember your advice and your love.
Mrs. Heslop was an amazing woman and mother. She was strong in a time when it was hard for not just women, but black women to care for a family even if there was a man/father in the home. We all gathered in Arlene's home and talked, sang, danced all night long. While she was not silent about all the noise she never kicked us out or talked bad to us, in fact she would get up on occasion and cook for us that late at night. I will remember her for as long as I live. RIP Mrs. Heslop you will be missed.
