OBITUARY

Edward C. Jordan - passed on January 28, 2025 at home peacefully in the care of his family. Beloved husband of Patricia (nee Lynch). Loving father of Edward (Kathy), Patricia Coughlan (Brian), Margaret Sollenne (Michael), John (Deirdre), and Catherine Diep (Chip). Proud grandfather of Kyle (Echo), Michael (Tori), Conor, Matthew (Haley), Erin, John (Julia), Edward, Caile (Jon), Christopher, Brian, Caitlin, Meaghan, and Lily. Treasured Great Grandfather to Logan, Michael, Olivia, and Sofia. Ed was one of six children. He was predeceased by his sisters, Maureen and Noreen and his brothers, Robert, and Thomas. Ed is survived by his sister Kathleen, and his cousin, Bobby Grimes.


Ed served on the New York City Police Department for 32 years rising to the rank of Lieutenant Special Assignment. Ed was a proud graduate of Saint John’s University School of Law, attending during the day, while working as a Patrolman on the midnight tour keeping the citizens of Brooklyn safe. Ed served in the United States Navy Reserves for eight years. His life of service also included serving as President of the Wallenpaupack Lake Estates Property Owners Board of Directors in Pennsylvania, and the Angler’s Cove Property Owners Association Board on Hutchinson Island, Florida.


A man of great integrity and character, Ed most enjoyed his time with his family and friends. An avid lover of classic cars, Ed would often be seen riding around in his 1946 Ford Coupe Convertible. A dream day for Ed was out on the boat with his children and grandchildren on Lake Wallenpaupack or on the Intercoastal Waterway near Hutchinson Island.


His family is comforted by their memories made with Ed during this time of difficulty.
