OBITUARY
It is with profound sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Deirdre (Lee) Leddy, of Stewart Manor, NY, at the age of 49. Born and raised in Jackson Heights, NY, Deirdre was a beacon of light and love in the lives of all who knew her. She attended Blessed Sacrament School, Mary Louis Academy, Oneonta University, and furthered her education through St. John’s University’s master’s program. Her passion for Catholic education was evident in her dedication to teaching second graders at Immaculate Conception School, where she inspired countless young minds with her warmth and enthusiasm.
In 2004, Deirdre married her husband, Barney, and together they created a beautiful family filled with love and cherished memories. As a devoted mother to her three treasured children—Niamh, Fionn, and Connall—Deirdre poured her heart and soul into nurturing them. Her unwavering support will be profoundly missed by her family, who were her greatest joy.
Deirdre is survived by her loving parents, Thomas and Isabelle Lee, who instilled in her the enduring values of faith, kindness, and compassion. She leaves behind her siblings: Kevin (Arianna), Christine (Francis), Jennifer (John), Sean (Kathryn), and Kathleen, all of whom will carry her memory in their hearts with love and admiration. Deirdre was also a beloved aunt to many nieces and nephews, who adored her and will forever remember her for her playful spirit and generous heart. She was a cherished daughter-in-law, sister-in-law and aunt to numerous nieces and nephews in Ireland.
Throughout her life, Deirdre was known for her vibrant personality, her infectious laughter, and her unwavering love gathering with her family and countless friends. She had a remarkable ability to light up any room, making everyone feel special and valued. Her legacy of love, kindness, and joy will continue to inspire all those fortunate enough to have known her.
Deirdre (Lee) Leddy will be deeply missed, yet her spirit will forever live on in the hearts of her family and friends.

You can be all so proud of the positive and loving effect that Deirdre had for all her family, students and community.It really came across how dedicated, caring and giving so much to everything she did. In Cavan there is a lake for every day in the year, well Deirdre certainly left a positive and loving ripple on every one of them.You are all in our thoughts and prayers
