We were so very saddened to hear of Darrell's death. We last spoke near Christmas. I will forever miss his laugh and humor and kind words. There were so many things we talked about and his visits will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Thanks big guy for all you did.
His Delta pal from Texas. Rita (and Steve)
To the Cooper family, I am so sorry for your loss. I had the pleasure of working with Darrell at Delta Air Lines -JFK and LGA. He was the kindest person and had the greatest sense of humor. He will be missed.
Dear Beverly, Glen and family, I worked close with Darrell for the last 10 yrs of my Delta career. Even after I left we stayed in contact and text and spoke often. I feel like I know you all, he loved his family and always couldn't wait for the reunions. I am so saddened to hear of my friends passing. I will miss him and our talks! I believe he will always be here in our thoughts and hearts. God bless you all at this most difficult time. May our beloved Darrell rest in eternal peace always! So sorry I couldn't make his visitation in person but the zoom was beautiful. Thanks for that
Dear Cooper Family,
I am so very sorry for your loss. I worked with Darrell and will greatly miss our phone calls. Darrell's laughter brought so much joy into this world. May God bless him and his family.

I first got to know Darrel through being on the same team with Delta. After I retired we kept in phone contact up until now. I remember calling him one afternoon, and he asked me to hold on while he got settled and needed to take a break. We talked for the next 30 minutes while he perched on his rooftop where he had been doing some repairs.
No matter what was going on in the world or his personal life, he always knew something good would come out of it. I can still feel his words that he frequently spoke: "I'm so Blessed!"
So was I knowing him as a friend.
