OBITUARY
Foti, Carolyn, of New Hyde Park, NY on February 11, 2022, in her 83rd year. Married for 63 years to her beloved husband Anthony. Mother of Denise (Mark), Valerie, Ginny (Joe), Chris (Bonnie), and Jen (Anthony). Grandmother to Ryan, Lauren, Alex, Michael, Steven, Andrew, Samantha, Anthony, Caitlin, Allison, James, and Anderson. Cherished sister of Virginia. Predeceased by her parents Francis X. Shaw and Marion Romanosky, and brother Robert. Carolyn was a homemaker for many years, was an integral member of the New Hyde Park Road School/Memorial High School PTA, was the Nassau County Girl Scout Cookie Chairperson for 17 years, and also served as a clerk in the New Hyde Park Village court. She was a devoted parishioner of Holy Spirit RC Church for 57 years and was admired and respected by all who knew her. She always thought that her greatest accomplishment in life was the home and family she and her husband built together. At family gatherings she would frequently look at her husband and say, “Wow, look at what we started!”, referring to all the children and grandchildren that were a part of their legacy together. Carolyn was a great listener and was very inquisitive. She would frequently clip articles to give to you from Reader’s Digest or the newspaper pertaining to something you had discussed with her. On nice days, she loved to drink tea and eat her chocolate bars on the porch while chatting with the neighbors. There was always room for one more at the table she set, and many family and friends enjoyed her incredible cooking.
Family and friends may visit at the New Hyde Park Funeral Home on Thursday, February 17, 2022, from 2-4:30 PM and 7-9:30 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, February 18, 2022, at 9:30 AM at Holy Spirit RC Church. Interment to follow at Pinelawn Cemetery.

Buddy, my heart is breaking for you, your children and grandchildren. I am saddened that I cannot be there for you and your family.
Carol has been my DiMeo cousin since I was a young girl of 12 years old. I always admired her for how much she loved you, her children and grandchildren. And how much she cared for Paul and Ann when we were children.
