Alonso was a Great Man, gifted, hard working, generous and a pleasure to be with.
Avelino mentored me for job and human skills. He invited me for dinner with his family.
He was my teacher and a friend. I miss him
May his soul rest in piece
My sincere condolences to Avelino's family

My sincerest condolences to the family of Avelino Alonso. Avelino was my mentor as I learned many things from him on the 63rd st connector project, the 1/9 rehab project and East Side Access. Your memory will be eternal. We will always remember you. Rest in Peace my friend.
