OBITUARY
Annette Jerram, 76, passed away on Wednesday, October 25th, 2023 after a courageous 7-year battle with colon cancer.
Annette was born on November 22, 1946 in Kew Gardens, N.Y. to Theodore and Rosemary Klubinski. She grew up in Freeport, N.Y. and graduated from Freeport High School, where she met her sweetheart, Brian Jerram. Annette attended Kings County Hospital School of Nursing in Brooklyn, NY where she received her RN. Annette worked in multiple areas of nursing and especially enjoyed starting out her career in the emergency room.
Annette married Brian Jerram and they had a daughter named Lauren. Brian was in the US Army and together the family lived in many states and overseas. Annette enjoyed her experience traveling with her family.
Brian retired after his 22-year career in the Army as a Chief Warrant Officer 4. Brian then began a career at Bell Helicopter in Texas as the manager of security plant and fire protection. Annette continued her career as a registered nurse, working for a cardiologist and then in case management.
Annette had a great love for animals, most especially dogs. The family's numerous dogs were rescue animals and were loved like family. Annette enjoyed reading, politics, and staying up on current events. She was creative and a talented decorator.
Annette loved being with her family, and will be deeply missed. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandson, Patrick.
Annette is preceded in death by her parents, and her husband of 35 years.
Annette is survived by her loving daughter, Lauren, loving son-in-law, Brian, and loving grandchild Patrick. Also surviving is her loving brother, Ted Klubinski.
The family is grateful to all extended family, friends, doctors, nurses, and aides. Her family would especially like to thank those who cared for Annette at New York, Cancer and Blood Specialists, St. Charles Hospital, Mather Hospital, Stony Brook Hospital, and VNS Hospice House. Annette's family thank you for your commitment to caring for others.
Donations can be made in Annette's name to the Best Friends Animal Society, or the American Cancer Society.
Visitation from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Sunday 10/29/23 at the New Hyde Park Funeral Home, 506 Lakeville Rd., New Hyde Park.
