OBITUARY
Anneliese Wilhelmina Becker O’Sullivan Annie was born in New York City on May 27th, 1945. She was the second of four daughters born to August and Maria Becker, joining her sisters Rose, and the late Ingrid and Doris. Annie grew up in New York City where she met her first love and husband, Patrick O’Sullivan. They began their life together in Sunnyside, Queens, where they raised their four children, Kerry (Brendan), Colleen (Cyril), Tricia (Tommy) and James (Angela). It was here that their Irish roots were planted and flourished, and lifelong friends were made.
Annie spent her summers in Ireland, where she later met her lifelong companion, PJ Kearney. Ballynalacken, County Kerry, soon became their second home where all were welcomed—a place where her 16 grandchildren created countless memories: Shannon, Taylor, Caitlyn, Kylie, Bailey, Shauna, Connor, Thomas, Logan, Faith, Ciaran, Paige, Patrick, Colm, Lily & Ella. This beloved tradition continues with her two great-grandchildren Wilhelmina “Billie” and Parker. Annie always looked forward to Sunday dinners with John and Joan and cherished the many accomplishments of her nieces and nephews. More than anything, Annie loved spending time with her family, watching her stories, and FaceTiming her grandchildren to catch up on the latest news.
We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Annie’s dedicated healthcare team, and especially to her devoted caregiver, Diana, whose compassion, support, and unwavering kindness brought her comfort and peace. Of course, we would be remiss not to mention her neighbors and friends from across the pond who always made sure she was cared for.
Annie faced many challenges in life. Her determination never wavered, and each obstacle was met with remarkable strength and resilience. Her legacy of love, laughter, and unwavering devotion to her family and friends will live on in all of those lucky enough to have know her. Annie is survived by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, PJ and her beloved dog, Judy, a pampered pup who never left her side.
