OBITUARY
When I think of my Aunt Anna (Ann Corace), I picture her sitting at my dining room table, enjoying pasta, listening to Frank Sinatra, and sharing one story after another. She loved to talk, reminisce, and share her many experiences with family and friends.
At 87, Ann lived a life filled with memories, friendships, and adventure. Though she never married or had children of her own, she deeply adored her family, including her nephew Bill, niece Louise Ann, great-niece Samantha, and great-nephew, whom she lovingly called “My Michael.” She especially loved seeing pictures of her great-great-nephews, Theo and Stetson, who brought her so much joy.
Ann’s love extended far beyond her family. From her old neighborhood in Brooklyn to her friends and neighbors in Forest Hills, she was always ready to lend a helping hand. Whether caring for pets, accompanying someone to a doctor’s appointment, or going to church with a neighbor, she showed her kindness through the little things that meant so much. She touched many lives through her generosity and caring spirit.
A true animal lover, Ann adored dogs, especially our family dogs Ollie and Luna, and never visited without bringing their favorite treats. She also loved to travel, explore the world, and collect beautiful artwork. A passionate sports fan, she enjoyed talking about all kinds of sports,
Ann spent 87 years collecting stories, experiences, and friendships that will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. We will remember her warmth, her generous spirit, her love of family and friends, and, of course, her endless stories.
I think Aunt Anna would want us to remember her with a smile—and perhaps share a good story of our own. And knowing Ann, she would surely have one more story to tell.
