OBITUARY

Alice Smith Ortiz, 89, of Carolina Shores, NC passed away on Thursday, October1, 2026 surrounded by her family.

Born on August 25, 1937, in New York City, NY, she was the daughter of the late Francis Mohan and Anna Lennon Mohan. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husbands, Charles Smith and Alfred Ortiz.

Surviving are her children, Susan Ferguson (James), Karen Murray (John), and Charles Smith (Patty); stepsons Alfred, James, Joseph and Timothy Ortiz; grandchildren, Amy Parliman (Douglas), Bonnie Pampinella (Tomas), John, Allison Cali (Joseph), Caroline Schlatter (Matthew), Victoria Murray, Charles Smith, Brianna Smith, Michelle Hofman (Ryan), Diana Ortiz, Rachel Vaccariello (Andrew), Timothy Ortiz, and Jake Ortiz; great grandchildren, Daniel, Kelsey, Gage, T.J., Vienna, Riley, Derek, Charlotte, Venice, Juliette, Declan, and Nico; sister, Jeannette and Brother in law Morgan.

Visitation Friday October 9, 2026 5-9 pm at Hyde Park Funeral Home

Funeral Mass 9:15 am Our Lady of Victory Church, Floral Park, New York.

Burial St. Charles Cemetery Farmingdale NY immediately following.
