OBITUARY

Alfred Jean-Baptiste, age 96, lifelong resident of Springfield Garden, NY,

passed away on September 15, 2025, at LIJVS Hospital of natural cause with

his family by his side. Born on March 15, 1929, in Cuba to Eleus Jean-Baptiste and

Amancia Detouches. He lived part of his early childhood in Cuba and his

adolescent-adulthood in Port au Prince Haiti. He married his beloved wife

Raymonde Guerrier in 1959, with whom he shared more than 35 years of marriage.

After her death, he remarried various times. He worked in Haiti as the bodyguard

for the Haitian Government.


In 1964 he emigrated to the US. He worked and retired from Hillside Metal Company in NJ. During his off time from work & the weekends, he had an additional job as a Taxi driver for many years to raise his children.


He was a devoted, loving, caring, and a very hard-working father.

He was also a great cook! He enjoyed cooking for his family and friends on his free time.


He is survived by his Children: Nerlande Nelson, Sharif Allah-Bey, Yanique Lacombe, Jerry Jean-Baptiste, Luders Jean-Baptiste.


Predeceased Wife & Children: Raymonde Jean-Baptiste (Wife), Karine Dorvilien (Daughter), Raymond Jean-Baptiste (Son), Shariffa Jean-Baptiste (Granddaughter).


Grandchildren: Dyna Juleus, Melvin Coeur, Monisha Jean-Baptiste, Jonathan Casimir, Aaron Xavier Nelson, Jean Jr Lacombe, Benjamin Lacombe, Marjorie Lacombe, Tyler Andre Nelson, Sarah Nicole Nelson, Imani Jean-Baptiste, Raymond Jr Jean-Baptiste, Urijah Jean-Baptiste, Olivier Jean-Baptiste, Lucianne Jean-Baptiste, Dayana Jean-Baptiste, Aneasha Campbell, Ashanti Dacruz, Sheriff Dorsey, Ashley Jean-Baptiste, Alfred Jean-Baptiste III, Casia Lynch.


Great Grandchildren: Savannah Karine Juleus, Xavier Louis-Jeune Juleus, Melony Symone Karine Lee Coeur, Miller Ari Casimir, Leo Toussaint Casimir, Camden Hayes Casimir, Remy P Lacombe, Myles Xavier Nelson, Raiden P Lacombe, Myla Williams, Noah Stanley, Makai Stanley, Noah Dacruz, Nyla Dacruz, Nicholas Dacruz.


Nieces: Violette Duchard, Marie Bernard, Carole Bernard, Jennie Bernard, Barbara Jean-Baptiste, Grace Jean-Baptiste, Dianna Jean-Baptiste, Ketly Bernard, Seurette Bernard, Jennifer Charles.


Nephews: Ernst Bernard, Ernest Jr Bernard, Claude Jean-Baptiste, Rene Jean-Baptiste, Raymond Jean-Baptiste, Philip Jean-Baptiste, Clent Jean-Baptiste, Adrien Odate, Addison Odate, Ashton Odate, Rene Jr Ruiz, Christian Ruiz, Paolo Clermont.
