OBITUARY

Alessio “Al” Fiorenti July 14, 1927 – April 21, 2024

Alessio “Al” Fiorenti age 96 and 3/4 years passed peacefully in his home Sunday morning April 21, 2024. Born and grew up in Greenpoint, NY and later raised a family with his wife Florence in New Hyde Park, NY. Alessio is preceded by his parents Antonio and Filomena and his grandson Christopher. Alessio is survived by Florence his wife of 69 years and brothers Benjaman (Benny), Vincent (Vinny) and wife Rose and sister Marie Gizzie. Children: Anthony and wife Delores (Dee), Salvatore, Vincent and partner Roger and Catherine and husband Anthony. Surviving grandchildren include: Nicole, Salvatore Jr, Anthony and Jessica, Liliana, and Austin.

Al and his brothers had a long-time successful family business Fio Brothers auto body shop and gas station in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Al thrived in the family business, was a jack of all trades and had a tool and interest to fix anything. He had a strong sense of community and relentlessly committed to morals and family. A longtime favorite theme was I did it my way.
