John T. Brennan

11/14/1924 - 12/12/2019 OBITUARY  John Thomas Brennan was born to parents Mary and George on November 14, 1924. He was an only child. John was a family man. On September 29, 1951, he married the love of his life, Marion, and for 68 years they shared each day together. His greatest joy in life was being with family and supporting them as best he could. The smile on John’s face at family gatherings never faded. John was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Navy, a foreman in the New York Telephone Company, and in his younger years, a messenger for Western Union. Stories of his travels, studies, and encounters with others were endless. He loved to share every detail of these experiences with his family though heartfelt and most often humorous words. His family feel so fortunate and grateful for his wisdom and love. Let us all live by his subtle, yet powerful example of kindness, compassion, and genuine love. After a rich and meaningful life of 95 years, John passed away peacefully on December 12, 2019. He is pre-deceased by his parents and daughter Ruth (survived by Kevin). John is survived by his wife Marion, son John (Jackie), daughter Marion (Bill) and grandchildren Andrew, Michelle, Keith and Eric.  VISITATION Sunday, December 15 2:00 - 4:30 PM & 7:00 - 9:30 PM New Hyde Park Funeral Home 506 Lakeville Road, New Hyde Park, NY MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL Monday, December 16 10:00 AM St. Hedwig’s Roman Catholic Church
