Martin - at practice in Van Cortland Park: "TJ, you're late!"

TJ jumps out of his double-parked dump truck, with half a burrito wrapped in foil and his dog sitting shotgun: "Sorry, Martin - I was trying to find a pair of sticks that helped you play better than me - NO LUCK!"

Greg hit it on the head (as only a twin brother could - but at 6 feet tall, Greg was always dwarfed by TJ's height - measured in "Awesome!""

TJ was fun...and sincere, generous, scrappy...and loyal...and never minced words. With a heart bigger than his truck, TJ was the antidote for "well-heeled" double-talkers.

Thanks for the memories and laughs, TJ.

Sorry you left when you did, but…

To the Hagan Family,

Our sincere condolences on the loss of your wonderful brother T.J., who was a great person. T.J. was very good to me after my husband Tommy Brancella passed away. I was having problems with my boiler and eventhough T.J. delivered oil and I have natural gas boiler. T.J. had a plumber there on the spot and they both helped me to get the heat on during that first winter without Tommy.

T.J., I will miss your wonderful laugh and great big smile. Take care of Tommy for me.

Rest in Peace, dear friend.

My deepest condolences to the Hagan family. The community is worse off losing such a fantastic, compassionate, and caring friend. TJ was always a beacon of laughter and had a laid back positive outlook it was contagious. He will be missed.

Thank you Greg for those beautiful comments
