We will forever fondly remember playing basketball with Ito at Christopher Morley Park and Bar Beach every summer back in the 1990's, and his smile (usually when he was winning a game!). Great player, great man. Condolences to Alyssa and his two sons.

My prayers are with the family. Mike was a manager of mine in the Valley Stream office a few years ago. I was young in the industry and he helped me develop with his great willingness to help me succeed. May God grant you all the strength to get through this tough time.

Alyssa, Tyler and Jordan,

Thoughts and prayers are with you in this most trying time. I know that Michael is looking down upon you from Heaven and is so proud of you all. He loved you all so much. There are no words at this time that can convey to you the emotions that we are all feeling . We all feel such a loss of a fine Gentleman : who displayed ethics and integrity in all aspects of his life. He will be sorely missed from the world as we know it . I know I speak for so many of his friends when I say that we were all made richer and just better people by knowing him.…

Anyone who was fortunate enough to play basketball with Mike might find this hard to believe, but he was a better husband and father than he was a basketball player. Our thoughts and prayers are with Alyssa, Tyler and Jordan.
