February 9, 1926 - December 6, 2017 OBITUARY Bartholomew "Bart" Jerry Campanale of Lake Havasu City, Arizona, passed away on December 6, 2017. He was born on February 9, 1926 in Manhattan, New York to his parents, Vito and Mary Campanale. He was 91 years of age.
Raised in New York State, Bart joined the Air Force on September 14, 1944 and remained in active duty until 1946. Bart worked in his family business, "City Line Florist" from 1942 until moving to Lake Havasu City in 1979. Bart was very active at the Food Bank before it became the Food Bank. He volunteered there for 30 years. He also was active at the Senior Center with his special friend, Sheila Spence, where he used his skills as a flower designer.
Bart loved people and was there for everyone. He will be truly missed by all those who crossed his path. His kindness and gentleness put people at ease.
Bart was preceded in death by his first wife, Frances; second wife, Eugenia, who passed away in August of 2004; his daughter of ten months, Mary Ann; brother, Vincent Campanale. He is survived by his children, Elaine (Dwight) Belknap, of Lake Havasu City, Arizona, John (Patsy) Campanale, of Hempstead, New York, and Thomas Campanale, of Wantagh, of New York; sister, Julia (Bill) Lykos; brother, Dominic Campanale, of New York; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren along with numerous nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Interagency Food Bank and Hospice of Havasu. The family thanks the Jasmine House for their loving care and compassion they showed towards Bart. Visitation will be Thursday December 28th from 2:00 - 4:30 PM and 7:00 - 9:30 PM at the New Hyde Park Funeral Home. Service will be held Friday December 29th at 9:30 AM at Holy Spirit Church with entombment to follow at Holy Rood Cemetery. VISITATION
