I too met Tony in high school. We quickly became fast friends and living only a few blocks away made it easy to see each other often. I remember all of those days playing fast pitch softball with all of our friends. Tony was a great pitcher and outfielder but in truth he could play any position and excel. I remember Sunday mornings playing touch football with Tony always the quarterback until his arm tired. I remember all of those basketball games and his driving the lane and hitting those outside set shots. In recent years I remember how it always felt like yesterday whenever we talked or saw each other no matter how long it had been. I guess…
PLAYED SOFTBALL AGAINST AND WITH TONY IN THE KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS LEAGUE. ALWAYS A PLEASURE, A WONDERFUL PERSON.
Tony will be truly missed at St. Mary's parish where he worked for many years. He was a wonderful person who always provided sound advice and encouragement to everyone who had the opportunity to rely on his expertise. As one of his many endeavors at St. Mary's, he provided the technical foundation for the development of the gift shop, which is now a St. Mary's institution, thanks to his help.
I first met Tony is gym class at Christ The King HS in 1969. We have kept in touch over the years. He is a great friend and a great person. I will miss him dearly and he and his family will be in my prayers. Rest Easy Old Friend you are at Peace and say a prayer for us. Love Rich Bruno
I Just learned of Tony's passing this evening. On behalf of all of us at The J2 Group, we are brokenhearted. Tony was an important part of our J2 "family" for 18 years. His kindness, character and integrity were essential to who he was. He will be missed.
