OBITUARY Czyzyk, Stanley (91) on November 25, 2016 of New Hyde Park, NY. Beloved husband to the late Gloria. Loving father to Stanley, Patricia, Gregory (Jaye), Richard (Mattie), Lorraine (James), the late Dorothy, Jane (Harold). Cherished grandfather to Stan (Bob), Rena (Mike), Jennifer (Kenny), Gregory (Cat), Charlie, and Janie (Scott). Beloved great grandfather to Joey, Gracie, Anthony and Joseph. Served proudly with the 279rd Infantry of the 69th Division in the European Theatre of Operation. Was a member of the headquarters platoon. Did considerable duty in the capacity of a sniper. Was awarded the Silver Star Medal for action in Germany. Was wounded during that action and received the Purple Heart Medal. Received the Combat Infantryman Badge for proficiency duties. Friends and Family may visit Sunday 2-4:30 and 7-9:30 at New Hyde Park Funeral Home. Mass of Christian burial Monday 9:15AM at Notre Dame Church New Hyde Park, NY. Interment at Mt. As we prepare to move on to our next phase of life and are rummaging through our " stuff" it is amazing how many photos we have of the Gregorski and the Czyzyk family get togethers. Great times!
We have so many fond memories of both Mr. and Mrs. Czyzyk. There were so many laughs and fun times with all the Ampolites through the years that we we always treasure. We send our love to the family.
Much love to the whole family as we reminisce the very special man, husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather Stanley was. He and Gloria were wonderful role models in each of these capacities. They will be sorely missed but we rejoice in their resurrection and their reunion.
