To Carol Capalone's family: I was very sad to get the news of her passing, and sorry I got the news too late to attend any of the services. Carol had a crucial job at Queens College that she did quietly and with great effectiveness for many, many years. Whenever I needed something from her office, she could be relied upon to give quick, fair and student-oriented service. I know how much I rely upon my administrative staff. It is a true tragedy for the college to lose her invaluable institutional knowledge, and very sad on a personal level for this loss to her family.
