I was able to get to know Katie as the very sweet girl that she was ...her love for her brother and her mother and father were very very strong (despite never liking the challenges that came from her mom who was steadfast in her fight against not enabling the ED). such strong love there👊.
Katie Anne had an undeniable sweetness to her.
When I learned of her passing I thought that some people are not meant for this world...they grace us and leave.
I was also terribly sad and even angry that she was gone and that the ED took her —took so much from her and from those who knew and loved her and then ultimately took her…
Katie Anne-- I just learned that you passed today. We have not been in touch in years, except through social media. I'm so sorry-- this is horrendously unfair. I remember meeting you in 2003 while we were both in treatment. We were inseparable during that time. We spent every weekend together once we were day patients. I thought of you today when I passed an ice cream truck-- I remember us getting them together one weekend. I know you fought like hell, and know you are in peace now. xoxo Ellie
God bless her. I am ever more determined and motivated to continue fighting. All my love to her friends and family. While I was not friends with her I know her friends through treatment and know how she fought. May she inspire all of us to never give up our fight! Sending love and light.
my sincere condolences - Katie was a true friend & i miss her lovely spirit so much.

The two greatest gifts God gave me - you and your brother - Paul.
And to anyone reading this and suffering from this illness. Please please believe me when I say Katie Anne fought each and every day. EVERY day. All 5,474 days.
She NEVER missed one day.
If you are suffering with ED feel free to reach out to me. As Katie used to say to me "You…
